Sway-A-Way is a large manufacturer of sway bars for companies that want to market a sway bar kit of their own. Sway bars are manufactured to customer’s specifications on state-of- the-art CNC bending equipment. All types of end configurations can be produced in quantities of 25 up and the bar can be plated or powder coat painted in a variety of colors and finishes. Usually, all that is needed is a sample to start the process. Sway-A-Way engineers will draw the sway bar in Solidworks and help determine spring rates for your application. VW Front Torsion Leave Adjusters - 2008 Prices
Quality American made Front Leaf Spring Adjusters allow approximately 2” of adjustment either up or down on the front end (4” Total) The strong construction allows you to set your ride height where you want. Lower it for the CA bug look or raise it for extra ground clearance for your Baja bug. These units are welded in, and are available for link in front ends. Racing adjusters designed with a larger 4130-spring disc and bigger setscrews are available for the link pin front ends.

VW Axle Applications
Available in 2 grades of high quality aircraft alloy steel, these axles are heat-treated and center less ground for a smooth consistent finish. The end dia. has been maximized to get the most face contact possible, minimizing wear between the axle and cv. The spine length has been increased to 2 _” – 3” to allow the cv to float on the axle. The center part of the axle is sized to twist like a torsion bar under heavy loads absorbing a large portion of the shock transmitted from the wheel to the gearbox.

VW/Porsche 356 Axles - 2008 Prices
These axles are crafted from forged aircraft alloy steel, precision machined, heat treated and center less ground for a smooth finish. The middle dia. of these axles are not tapered like stock axles, instead the middle diameter is consistent all the way to the spline permitting the axle to twist under heavy loads, helping to prevent transaxle breakage.

Leaf Springs - VW Front Torsion Leaves - 2008 Prices
VW front torsion leaves are produced from a special spring steel custom made for Sway-A-Way. The grub screw holes are drilled on several different center-to-center distances for both standard and widened beams. The leaves are then heat treated, shot peened and oiled before packaging. They are available for both the link pin and ball joint front ends. See chart below for the different spring rates available.

Spring Plates IRS Applications
Sway-A-Way spring plates are available for both the swing axle and IRS rear suspension. Both are manufactured from high quality _” thick spring steel. The spline 4130-spring plate collars are precision welded into place and are available in several different lengths to allow use of different length torsion bars.

Spring Plates are available in pairs only and are manufactured in two different grades of steel. The standard race proven spring plates come silver zinc plated for corrosion protection. For the racer, fully heat-treated and shot peened 4130-chromoly swing axle plates are manufactured.

Adjustable Spring Plates - Swing Axle Applications
Adjustable Spring plates are built the same way as the standard plates, except that they are adjustable. These bolt-on spring plates allow about 1 _” of up or down adjustment by turning one screw on each on side. The kits come complete with a full set of inner and outer urethane grommets and are available for both IRS and Swing Axle applications.
